John R. Lukes
John R. Lukes is a founding Managing Partner of Cervenka & Lukes Capital Partners and is Chairman of the firm’s investment committee. He oversees the management of the firm’s real estate bridge debt investment portfolio, including all underwriting, due diligence, capital formation, investor relations, loan funding and loan portfolio servicing. Mr. Lukes has been involved in every facet of the bridge debt investment management business in all asset classes of commercial, mufti-family and residential real estate during his 37 years as Managing Partner of the firm. He has overseen more than 2,500 investments with an exemplary track record (less than 1% foreclosure/REO rate on all of the firm’s bridge debt investments to date). Mr. Lukes holds a B.A. and a master’s degree from the University of Southern California. He is a licensed California Real Estate Broker, a past member of the La Salle High School Board of Trustees and the San Marino Rotary, and has lived in Pasadena for more than 50 years.
Jay W. Cervenka
As a founding Managing Partner of Cervenka & Lukes Capital Partners, Jay W. Cervenka serves as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer and as a member of our investment committee. Mr. Cervenka has provided oversight of all financial matters as they relate to credit management, taxes, state and federal compliance issues, forecasting, and capital formation/investor relations. With 35 years of experience, he provides a conservative perspective in underwriting and, along with Mr. John R. Lukes, has overseen all of the firm’s more than 2,500 real estate bridge debt investments. He has lived in the San Marino area for over 50 years.
